part 6 of 14 (fire thingies)

The crook glared at Nan and she gave him the look, so he sat down quietly on
a chair holding the towel to his face. After a while he put his head up and
looked at his partner, "I don't like this Rubin, she's got this look our mum
gets when she catches us out on something, I don't like it".
"Oh, shut up", said Rubin, "have I ever let you down". Before Mooshat could
answer Nan said, "there's always a first time, I feel sorry for your mother,
I'm sure she didn't raise you to hold up supermarkets, did she ?".
"Never you mind shouted Rubin, "about our mum, is our food ready yet ?".
Everything was quiet for the next quarter of an hour while the pair stuffed
their faces. Rubin leaned back in his chair and pulled out a pack of cigarettes.
"No smoking in here", said granddad.
"That was before now" laughed Rubin.
"Here", said Nan " have a light", and before Rubin could reply, she was waving a
large burning piece of paper in front of his face. "Hey!!, steady on", shouted
Rubin grabbing the paper, " you could set the on house fire".
"I doubt it", said Nan as she walked away, "we have those fire thingies", pointing
to the ceiling. "What ?", questioned Rubin, as looked up to where she was pointing.
Just as he looked up water poured down on him from the fire sprinkler.
"Those things", said Nan.
"Grrr, grrr, grrr, grrr" growled Rubin, "I'm soaked!!".
"I'll get you some dry clothes", said Nan, getting up from her chair.
"You!!, stay put", shouted Rubin, "Mooshat", he ordered, "go look around and see
what you can find". Mooshat still holding his sore nose, reluctantly left through
the swing doors that Nan had gone through earlier, to find himself in a large
hallway. There was an old fashioned wardrobe, the kind with a large mirror on the
door and as Mooshat walked into the hall, the wardrobe door opened, making him jump.
He carefully approached the wardrobe and peered in, it was empty, so he quickly shut
the door and turned the key.
