I want my kids to learn and embrace.” ...Kristen Scott

*** Respect ***

by 'Kristen Scott'

Take heed what those lived longer say
Lessons learned shown them the way
Look up to elders, cast an eye
Of respect towards the twilight sky
Listen to words of wisdom passed
Through generations, the truth held fast
Knowledge hard won, don't be discouraged
Feeling efforts aren't encouraged
Innocence of youth sometimes leads
Choices array from actual needs
With time learn by mistakes and see
Those lessons pass down the family tree
Respect those looking out for you
Your best interests at heart they hold true
