Poem ***
by 'Meryl'
An original poem is what they
said One that comes from off the top of my head “How
do I do that” I was heard to say “What ever will I
write about today” I could write about any subject I
like My garden, my hobbies, my music, my life I could even
write one about my orchid spike Thirty lines or less, printed
or typed An original flowing poem that hasn't been hyped You'd
think it would be easy to write one like that For no-one can
experience life like my old hat I'm the only one that can see
through my brown eyes So it's up to me to make it as clear as a
throw of dice I must write with words that endorse you to use
sight Use describing words that can be taken light An
original poem of my own industrious work A piece of mine that
will insight, inform, and gladden Anyone who comes to read or
ponder over that may be saddened One that would bring to
life All those feelings that we suppress through stress and
strife To shine light in this dark, dingy time of ages And
show us the way out in simple stages To bring smiles and
twinkles back to people's faces Where, perhaps it may remind
them of other times or places An original poem can do all of
the above It can even insight some people to love One
original poem, thirty lines or less Printed or typed, it has to
be the best
