*** Challenge Poem 20 ***

*** Brain Storm ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

I'm walking though the electrical storms in my mind
fleeting images from life's experiences I left behind
images having emotion responses attached to them
viewing invoking the feelings from which they stem
some are of horror, and I would prefer to refrain
others are of sorrow and ultimate emotional pain
don't get me wrong, there are happy ones as well
why some images even invoke my sense of smell
at times I have done good, and I have being bad
as far as an explanation, I have nothing to add
I always played my hand, the best that I could
I have no regrets for this to me is how I stood
this is my last journey for my life is about to end
to me an unknown destiny this death does send
