I came down here to
enter this poetry competition
I just might even win it, I've
got a faint suspicion
yes there are plenty of good poets for me
to out shine
yet do they have a soul born from a life such as
mine
for poetry is talking straight from deep within the
soul
which only grows with hardships such as life on the
dole
on my life's journey I have experienced more than most
and
travelled further I've truly been from coast to coast
sharing
poetry with everyone who had a listening ear
after hearing my
poems some even shouted me a bear
faint suspicion I'll hear my
name when the winner they call
making winning this competition
not so far fetched at all
if karma says I am not to win I'm
still glad I came on down
by entering I read my poetry and get
to share them around
