*** Princess Diana ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

My princess, Diana is her name
no, not the one of global acclaim
there is no tiara or motif that flies
still she is a princess in my eye's
eye's that glisten with regal abound
plus a voice that has a mystical sound
a hand full of courtiers, no golden plate
her castle is modest, owned by the state
ruling her kingdom with eloquence and poise
even smiling when kids make too much noise
the meaning of her name is goddess of love
a perfect description with the heart of a dove
no global acclaim, even humble is she
she'll always be Princess Diana to me
