*** Challenge Poem 30 ***
*** Dragon
Slayer ***
by 'Barry R. Long'
while proudly standing
at the cave's ancient door he proceeded to announce, what he
was there for "dragon I've come to slay you" the
warrior did scream came back the reply "surely you live in
a dream" at this he charges forward, as the creature
roars while still running, the warrior draws his sword the
cave rumbled, as this prime evil battle ensued to end up the
loser, meant you'd become food thrusting his mighty weapon, the
knight did attack the dragon responded, giving him an almighty
thwack this championship carried on, for over half a day that
was until the dragon, no longer wanted to play after belching
methane, then rubbing his flint teeth he bellowed out a flame,
the heat was beyond belief scrambling out the door, with a body
that was cinged even the thought of more battle made his body
cringe "take this proof", spitting out a tooth ,"say
I didn't survive" "call yourself dragon slayer, but
if you return, I'll eat you alive"
