*** Dreams ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

there once was a rather humble man
called Nelson Mandela, a black african
a dreamer of freedom and equal rites
south african apartheid was in his sights
martyred himself for quarter of his life
protesters and marchers causing strife
it's been ten years since apartheid died
white and black couples no longer hide
dreams are now life, so passes control
this african with dreams and a humble soul
