*** Friend in
Need ***

a friend who's in need
came to me
yet when I am in need where is he
help him out,
not a second thought
comes to me, his help tally is
naught
opening my home, gave him a room
say help to pay the
rent coming soon
it turn pay day other people he pays
pay
you next week this he again says
things come right for him this
sweet
great that's he has landed on his feet
he has now
moved out, here no more
but leave half his stuff for me to
store
still no sign of promised help for rent
perpetually
his money is always spent
then shows off the new things he
buys
while ask if he can help told more lies
if dare
complain he puts me to shame
states I not friend, and held to
blame
