Dear Mum, I love you,
this is true
not just for the things you do
though given
free and they be many
they only add to my love a plenty
if
all you did was sit, stare, and just be
I'd still love you,
you'd still be Mum, to me

dear Mum, I love you,
always have, do, and will
the thought of ever being without you
sends me a chill
you have been there for me from birth till
this day
and should you one day pass away, with me you will
stay
along life's pathway, being with you I have cherished
out
of all the women in the world, you are my dearest
never far
from me, your presence I can forever feel
my love for you has
no limit, on that I pledge my seal
being 82, it would be safe
to say you are getting on
so stay fit and healthy, eating well
to keep you strong
then there will be no chill from the thought
of losing you
for I will always love you Mum, that's a love
that is true
