*** The Sea's Song ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

I wander along a deserted shore,
wonder what there is to explore.
The gentle ocean breeze that blows,
where it comes from no one knows.
I smell salt and seaweed on the wind,
just makes me happy not to see a fin.
I sit down in the sand on the tide line,
sands up my bottom yet I don't mind.
Hear the music of the waves that roar,
they all play in rhythm without a flaw.
Cockle shells for percussion roll about,
seagulls sing with a scream and shout.
These are the sounds of the sea's song,
while listening to it nothing be wrong.
All my troubles mystically drift away,
suddenly I'm enjoying a beautiful day.
