*** Seeds of Thought ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

perhaps some of my views are a little bit radical
though they're never to the point of being fanatical
like fostering small businesses enabling them to flow
with heaps of new jobs, the economy will grow
that you pay a doctor to keep you in health
when you get sick they should lose some wealth
if we put g.p.s. on every yacht and fishing boat
we would be able to find them, while they're still afloat
the airlines should remove the cockpit door
without access hijacking would be hard for sure
coal fired power stations rape the earth and pollute the air
when we could utilise the wind, producing power with flare
when building your home, as plastic doesn't erode
use recycled containers that have been disposed
support a school if your child can read and write
fine them for illiteracy and learning they'll put right
at school, kids learn about all sorts of things, even how to drink
everything except being a parent, gee ! who would think ?
just a few seeds for your thoughts to ponder
you decide if these ways are where we should wander
