*** Tsunami ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

just relaxing and cruising at the beach
then all of sudden the water is out of reach
curiously fish are flapping high and dry
and why are the birds missing from the sky
feeling puzzled at a strange rumble underfoot
then spot the wave looking more than 100 foot
you finally realise the danger, yet much to late
to join the dead and dying is now your fate
for sea has weight measured in millions of ton
with a force to flatten city's like a monster's son
so when you notice all the water gone at the beach
run inland is the answer such a disaster can teach
