*** Understand ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

I'm holding my head in my hands
can't see how they misunderstand
seems so logical, so straight forward
yet people still use a tongue for a sword
just treat each other as thyself is treated
respect each other don't be conceited
each day people grow more and more callous
and have replaced love with spite and malice
is it so hard to be nice to one another ?
is not your wife, your child's mother ?
and woman why do you put your man down ?
did you not choose him to wear your crown
love each other, it's so easy to understand
try using your head, start by holding hands
