*** Visitors ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

had some visitors over yesterday
to say hello and a coffee they say
late morning was when they arrive
time's now dawn watching sunrise
the hectic evening we did endure
it was pleasurable this is for sure
drinking a plenty through the night
headaches abound now it's sunlight
dancing all hours the order of things
left now with what tomorrow brings
smiling the whole night, jaw's still sore
except for party pooper, what a bore
girls looked dazzling last time I saw
now it's the next day all have a flaw
full of how are you and oh my head
good night had by all, this was said
downing the coffees three in a row
throw in two aspirin and it's all go
everyone is back into party mode
oh what burden to carry this load
