*** Man of War ***

by 'Barry R. Long'

warring since time began, disputing mainly over land
battling over who has the right to place a flag in the sand
if not land, then which god it was, that created man
yet these gods don't act as though they really give a damn
man and war have always been, nor the reason change
only difference now is, the weapons have too much range
the time has come to rally troops of a peaceful kind
to stop this madness, before there is no more mankind
talk to the powers that be, say no more to bleeding
just might be the nature of peace, that you will be seeding
if you need money for health, ask for just one bomb
put the question that way, and the dove might sing along
so put pen to paper, request a bomb this very day
send it to your leaders, help to prevent doom's day
