*** The Common Voice ***

by 'Rusty Bourne'

A joint interest or a aim thats shared
is a view that is stated and should not be compared
Irrespective to gender and regardless of race
the collective opinion is commonly placed
we're born to breed ; inexperienced youth
we're losing the desire to grasp hold of the truth
do we share the guilt? who is to blame?
those rulers and leaders who fight for our claim
that handful of people who get to decide
how millions of others will have to survive
by raping our resources and selling our worth
the cost is blood etched on the earth
what gives them the right to act alone
to steal what is ours and take as their own
they offer the world with the greatest of pleasure,
our country our hope our greatest treasure.
my single opinion may not get a mention,
but as numbers grow it will require their attention
here is the facts as they occurred
like it or not, we will be heard
