*** My Reflection ***

by 'Rusty Bourne'

When I looked down what did I see ?
My reflection looking back at me.
But when I smiled he did not,
as if it knew the problems I've got.
But how could a reflection understand ?
Problems I've had from boy to man.
A reflection is an image floating on water,
doing nothing more than it oughta.
Then with a drip and a bit of a splash,
my reflection stood as quick as a flash.
"Hey me with the problems, what's all the fuss?
We look stressed, what's wrong with us ?
We have no time to brood about here,
we have no place for doubt or fear.
So get a grip, grow up fast,
what's done is done, all in the past."
As quick as that we were gone,
back to the place which we had come.
Yet when I looked back down, what did I see ?
My reflection smiling back at me.
