*** Scared of the Dark ***

by 'Rusty Bourne'

I lay in my bed at night and listen for a sound
an indication or demonstration, a sign that your around
Is this just an illusion or are you really there?
am I nearing madness? should I really care?
Every thing is fuzzy I'm feeling so abused
the only thing I remember is scattered and confused
Maybe I'm just dreaming it could all be in my mind
instant recall of memories from a past lifetime
Surely I am crazy wallowing in my grief
lost in disillusion , lost in disbelief
Finally I am fading , fear is running deep
crying in the darkness I finally fall asleep
