*** Emotional Well ***

by 'Rusty Bourne'

Have you ever felt as if you're in a trap ?,
sucked in deep and you can't get back.
Like still waters stuck down a well,
you're silently running through your own private hell.
With no place to turn and no sight of a goal,
you're just sinking down deeper inside that hole.
Everyday more people are asking to share your wealth,
drawing from your resources, drinking from your health.
Willing you offer what little you can spare,
the vile scent of refusal is floating in the air.
Consider now the notion, a different way could be viewed,
perhaps you are a fruit tree offering up your bloom.
Maybe you're an oasis bringing life to barren parts,
could be you're a life line pumping blood for the heart.
As much as you have suffered, how ever you have survived,
do not trade in integrity for the sake of other's lives
