Montana World of Wearable Art Awards Show (WOW)

The Montana World of Wearable Art Awards Show
is a non-stop spectacular and it's coming to Wellington!
Artists from throughout New Zealand
and around the world enter
truly amazing garments that are
presented in a two hour show of movement, sound and light.
Artistic concepts are demonstrating how ordinary people as well as
established artists are capable of extraordinary creativity.

Element Peak to Peak

Not for the faint hearted,
this is a multi-sport event for teams and individuals.
from the Remarkables ski area
to Coronet Peak ski area.
The race starts high on the Remarkables ski field
with a 2km ski or snow board down to the Remarkables access road.
A 17km mountain bike down the road
takes competitors to the edge of Lake Wakatipu in Frankton
for a 7km paddle into Queenstown Bay.
From downtown Queenstown the final two race stages
are an 8km run to the final transition area
and then a 9km bike ride up to the finish line at Coronet Peak.

Relay For Life

Relay for Life is a fun-filled overnight event
designed to celebrate survivorship and
raise money for research and programs
of the Cancer Society of New Zealand.
During the event, teams of people
take turns walking or running laps.
Each team keeps at least one team member on the track at all times.
Relay for life is a unique, challenging and fun way to raise
money for cancer research, prevention and early detection activities
and patient services at the Cancer Society of New Zealand.
